Mixing sprouted brown rice into your diet is easier than it sounds. Cook sprouted brown rice as you would cook normal rice, mix in some sautéed vegetables and you have yourself a delicious and overly healthy dinner. Mixing the sprouted brown rice into a chicken or vegetable dish makes it more filling and also increases the nutritional value.

Sprouted brown rice can lower blood pressure, boost ones immune system, reduce anxiety and prevent the formation of many types of cancerous cells (FAO at UN, 2014). Sprouted brown rice also has 4 times the amount Vitamin E and fiber and 3 times more vitamin B-1, B-6 and magnesium. A study published in 2011 by the Journal of Food Science and Technology states that the sprouted brown rice regulates blood glucose levels as well.

Sprouted Brown Rice has a significantly higher amount of anti-oxidants and Vitamin E than Brown Rice and White Rice. It also reduces lipid peroxidation (causes cell damage), which prevents the formation of atherosclerotic plaques (coronary artery disease or chest pains), and hepatic enzyme levels and their activity, which are known to cause liver damage and liver toxicity (Mohd, N. 2013).

As livestrong.com states “the sprouted rice yields a slightly sweeter flavour and a less chewy texture.” Makes sense to add sprouted brown rice to your diet, not only for the benefits but the added taste it brings to the table.
