Organic week is here, and we will be featuring a product recipe each weekday September 10 - 14th. In creating our Organic Rice and Lentil Harvest Blend, we chose the best blend of Organic Sprouted Long Grain Brown Rice, Organic Red Quinoa and Organic Sprouted Green Lentils. This product is an easy way to introduce multiple whole sprouted grains into your diet. Today’s recipe was inspired by Chef Michael Smith – Brown Rice and Lentils, and is a great vegan or healthy dinner for #meatlessMonday
Ingredients
Olive Oil
1 large Red Onion
2 tsp. Minced garlic
2 cups Sprouted Rice & Lentil Harvest Blend
4 cups vegetable broth
2 bay leaves fresh ground sea salt and ground pepper
Directions
Cover the bottom of medium pot with the olive oil.
Add the onion and garlic and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the Sprouted Rice & Lentil Harvest Blend, vegetable broth, bay leaves and salt and pepper.
Bring everything to a boil, then cover, reduce heat to a simmer , cooking until the rice and lentils are tender and the liquid is absorbed, about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving
